Im going to be in London as well, but i will only go to the Hall of Fame event. 300 dollars is way too much money for something like this. 2 friends of mine are going there anyway, so im gonna spend some time walking around in London and do a little sightseeing and visiting starbucks hehe

This is just another article about it!
Bon Jovi makes it to the UK Hall Of Fame Bon Jovi is the latest name to be announced for this year's U.K. Music Hall Of Fame. They'll be inducted on November 14th, and they're expected to perform at the ceremony at the Alexandra Palace in London. The Hall Of Fame citation reads: "There are few acts in the world that can deliver stadium shows of massive proportions, release continuous hit albums, and solicit an entire new generation of fans 23 years into their career. Bon Jovi is that band."
This year's inductees also include Led Zeppelin, Rod Stewart, Beach Boys founder Brian Wilson, James Brown, and the late Dusty Springfield, and Beatles producer George Martin will be honored for his contributions to British music. The U.K. Music Hall Of Fame ceremony will air in Britain on November 16th, and on VH1 in America on November 25th.
While he's being honored in the U.K., frontman Jon doesn't expect to get the same treatment from the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in the U.S. A few years ago, he told us it would be nice, but he's not losing any sleep over it: "I'd be lying if I said it wouldn't be nice, but you know, that's a boys club too. And the people that run it, they've got their own little agenda. So the truth of the matter is the greatest compliment that I've had is the idea that twenty years and a hundred million albums later -- that's much cooler than anything else."

LOL well you know i always thought they started to go mainstream back in 2000 with crush so they ARE attractive for a wider audience INCLUDING teenagers. Their music isn´t what it used to be anymore and ONLY cuz of that critics and teenies DO still like them. (they are not the only bad who went mainstream, take the chili peppers for example, they did the same thing)
The Hall of Fame thing is something totally different. In a few years they probably will be in it but for now and in the past they only had "real" music legends in there. BJ havent been there yet for long enough.
Dont get me wrong, i DO like Bon Jovi but they are not (yet) US Hall of Fame Material.

I have to say, i kindof disagree abit in just one regard. i was a teenager when its my life and all those started coming out and i am and was th eonly person i knew in my school etc even like bon jovi. i got teased SO much for it. my friend lieselot, a belgian chick has the same experience, and most teenage fans on my site too. the teenage bon jovi fans are few and far between. yea you seem some at gigs, but the ages of most bj fans are definitely not teens and early twenties. they're just not "cool" to teenages and i say that with confidence because everytime i tell my own ages group i like bJ, i get flamed for it. saying that though, its not just bon jovi. classic rock in general is not "cool" with my generation. its the music fan imo, the one who last all genres that can appreciate jovi. i mean most of my friend dislike aerosmith, kiss, u2 just as much as jovi, but will profess that radiohead, the kooks, the killers ... all the new bands (lol i know radiohead aint new) but all of them are WAY better than jovi or any classic rock. pity

lol well you know i didnt say ALL teenagers on this planet like . But they changed their looks and music so its attracts teenagers too ( MORE RECORD SALES = MORE MONEY) There will always be more teenies liking chart Sh*t than Bon Jovi. Thats the way it is and always will be. But you also can see that there are more teenage fans now than in the 80s and 90s when you go to a show... (which is sometimes very nerving because they think they LOVE jon, faint when he comes on stage and crap like that, yeah i know some might hate me for this but its just my opinion and true) Fact is...they went mainstream to attract more people. Thats all i wanted to say actually lol Doesnt make them less of a good band, JUST DIFFERENT than in the 80s and 90s. Tanya
