Ohje....so many great DRUMMERS out there and people like the guy from NICKELBACK....you may think he looks good but hes no top drummer...never would be lol Tico or Chad is ok because they can actually play. Maybe we should rename this thread your fav HOT drummer and make a thread for real musicians LOL Nat. i think it depends whether its technically speaking or just well played music... i mean in the end, if it touches you, its great. one can play something very technically difficult but it doesnt hit a chord (tee hee dumb pun). music is subjective and obviously musicians will view it differently, but in the end, my opionion is, if you thinkit's good, it is, until you see something better... sorry that was so long winded!

Yeah Alex but hes right. Basically we´d need 2 threadsThe hottest drummers AND the best drummers.... cuz most of you go by hotness (like alex said the majority here aren´t musicians) but then there is a few who actually know what makes a good drummer.Ticos Velvet Rose: THANK YOU for throwing a real legend in: John Bohnham.... YAYYYYYYYYYYYYY lol T.

I dont view music technically, I always go with feeling but when it comes to who plays best, sometimes people win on what they actually can play with or without the reaction they get.
The fact is drums CANT give an emotional reaction other than making your heart beat go faster lol A cymbal strike played at the right time can make your hair stand up but its not the cymbal doing it, its the whole sound. If you hear the cymbal on its own its just noise lol A guitar or piano or a voice CAN give real emotion.
If you listened to Ronnie Tutt (Elvis's 70'S drummer) and then looked at him, a lot of people would still say Tico is better cuz of how he looks even when they are both as good as each other. That was my point. Point taken?
Nat.

i agree to some extent Nat - i know its just a beat, but there are some songs that i just.. i dont know that drums brings out even more emotion, its not just a beat.. ahh, one of those things its a personal viewpoint.
also there are so many different types of drum playing that its hard to single drumers out because their playing often derrives from their influences which can be from jazz to soul to rock to country,....
