Actually it was fun coz when they launched the new site, there was so much traffic that it wasnt possible to get the new membership. lol

well..i think it just didnt work coz there were too many people who wanted to get the new membership at the same time.
let´s see what happens and if its really better than before. I´m still optimistic.

the membership thing didnt work
cuz they had made a mistake in their program
which allowed people to buy 2 memberships.
some people got billed twice (they corrected that now though)
and thats why they had removed the membership from
the catalog for a few hours.
it looks better though, the website i mean
the person who did it before wasnt exactly talented,
therefore the website didnt look great
(sorry for being hard but its true)

I have tried for twelve (yes, 12) hours to sign it. Finally, just 20 minutes ago, I was successful. Entered all data to purchase a membership, including my credit card details, and was presented with an error report:
There has been an error processing your credit card, please try again : SGS-005005: Duplicate transaction

I have seen several switches of EDP systems in the past 20 years in my working career. Usually a company runs a new system in the background, giving a testing group access to work out all glitches and errors. When those are eliminated, the new system goes live. I have made part of testing groups several times. It works. It really does.
Backstage does not do that. No sir. They did not the last time the website was updated, they have not learned from their errors. They have not done it this time.
I have no patience for incompetence, poor planning and poor organisation.
I have had it for today.

I have to think about it. yeah i have to agree, 50 bucks is a lot for what they give you (which is basically nothing except when theyre touring you can get to the front)  I only got a membership to promote the tico website there, well again lol been a member in 2002 and used it for that back then too.  |
