LOL Barbera! Next time I see him I will tell him. As you can guess I am home. The trip was exhausting but fun, and well worth it. The short version of my trip...we arrived in town Wednesday after 9 hours of driving. We freshened up and decided to go to one show that night(mostly 80's hairbands...Mark Slaughter, CJ Snare(Firehouse), Nelson). I was very impressed to see how Mark voice held up over the years. SLEEP! Then Thursday...We left early to go have lunch and hang out. After lunch we drove by the club Richie would be at later and my friend says she hears him...I told her..."you dork the CD is on", she said No. I hear HIM! To our surprise he was inside doing soundcheck. We got to hear him doing some of his solo songs from right outside the door. He did stand within 2 feet of us when he exited, but we didn't bother him as we knew he probably wanted to go rest before the show(Hugh and Jeff Kazee were with him), we hung around town and drove by around 6:30 to see if people were lining up for the show. Sure enough, they were. Waited in line for 2 hours to be let in and crammed into a club that holds 300. Don't get me wrong, not complaining. To see Richie in such an intimate setting was AMAZING. It was him and 3 other performers all taking turns doing a song(all acoustic). He played: Prayer, It's My Life, I'll Be There For You, Wanted, Fallen from Graceland, Harlem Rain, With a Little Help from my Friends! He sounded amazing, and looked pretty damn good too! lol It was a great experience! And T, guess where we went on Friday...GRACELAND! I thought of you looking through Elvis's home! lol I have been there before but my friend had not and really wanted to go. It was quite a drive, but for a pal....anything I'll share some pics soon!
