Two powerhouses, Tiger Woods and Bon Jovi, will reunite for the 10th annual Tiger Jam, presented by AT&T Saturday, May 26, 2007, at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas. Marking 10 years of star studded concert fundraisers, Tiger Jam X will also pay tribute to the estimated 10 million young people Tiger Jam has helped by raising funds for the Tiger Woods Foundation.
Tiger Jam was created by the Tiger Woods Foundation, an organization established in 1996 by Tiger Woods and his father Earl, to empower young people to reach their highest potential through character development and educational programs. Since its creation in 1998, Tiger Jam has raised more than $10 million for the Tiger Woods Foundation and select Las Vegas based charities through its sold-out performances and one-of-a-kind auction items. In 2006 alone, a Meet & Greet with Sting in New York raised $65,000 and a putting lesson with Tiger Woods raised $155,000.
Proceeds from previous Tiger Jams have supported Child Haven, Center for Independent Living, Greater Las Vegas Inner City Games, Boys & Girls Club of Las Vegas, GRAMMY in the Schools and The VH1 Save the Music Foundation.
A decade in the making, Tiger Jam X will, as in previous years, begin with exclusive live and silent auctions and a gourmet dinner. Following the dinner and auctions, Woods will welcome Bon Jovi, whose new album, Lost Highway, arrives in storesJune 19th, to the Mandalay Bay Events Center stage for what promises to be a rockin’ evening of entertainment.
"I am thrilled to mark 10 years of Tiger Jam with Bon Jovi," Woods said. "We always welcome rock legends at Tiger Jam and having Bon Jovi headline is truly an honor. We have a lot to celebrate, so I know it will be an amazing night."
Tickets for Tiger Jam X went on sale Saturday, March 24 and are available at the Mandalay Bay Events Center box office and at all Las Vegas Ticketmaster locations
