Jon Bon Jovi, bandmate Richie Sambora, Jewel and Big & Rich performed Tuesday night (March 27) at Nashville's Cannery Ballroom during a benefit for the family of Buck Jones, a singer-songwriter who died March 17 after being hit by a car near an interstate highway in Royse City, Texas. After his vehicle blew a tire, Jones was walking along a service road when he was struck by a driver who was later charged with intoxicated manslaughter. Jones and Bon Jovi met last year after the rock star made a surprise appearance at one of Billy Block's Western Beat music showcases in Nashville. Jones, who is survived by a wife and a 7-month-old son, had been scheduled to perform at Tuesday's Western Beat show. Billy Currington and Keith Anderson also appeared at the charity show.

Sadly I missed this by one day, which was a bummer. Billy Falcon's website folk work with my website and they were at the show. But they only did 4 songs, so I guess I am glad I didn't pay an extra hotel night, etc...well that's how I am looking at it anyways! Here is a link to a 'stage crasher' at the show...lol www.news2wkrn.com/mctv/?p=950
